Meet Mr Rajiv Bajekal
About Mr Rajiv Bajekal
In addition to seeing patients privately, Mr Bajekal continues to work for The Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. He is also a Senior Examiner for the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) in Trauma and Orthopaedics, lecturing nationally and internationally.
Mr Bajekal completed his medical schooling in India and came to the UK in 1992. He worked in Norwich as a surgical trainee and completed his MCh at the University of Liverpool. Then he obtained a Consultant Orthopaedic post at Doncaster/Bassetlaw NHS Trust in 1998 before accepting his current role at The Royal Free London.
More recently Mr Bajekal has found a passion for lifestyle medicine, after making changes to his own diet and lifestyle and seeing the direct health benefits. Read more about Mr Bajekal’s journey here. He is now a Board-Certified Lifestyle Medicine Physician, providing his orthopaedic patients with a lifestyle medicine plan to aid their recovery.
