Mr Rajiv Bajekal

Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon

Mr Bajekal completed his medical schooling in JIPMER, Pondicherry and his MS in Orthopaedics from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi. Rajiv came to the UK in 1992 and worked in Norwich as a surgical trainee for the Royal Free/ RNOH Registrar/Senior Registrar rotation and completed his MCh from Liverpool as an external candidate. He obtained a Consultant post with Doncaster/Bassetlaw NHS trust in 1998 but left to pursue his current post at The Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust.

Mr Bob Chatterjee

Consultant Spinal Surgeon

Mr Chatterjee is a joint Neurosurgical & Orthopaedic Fellowship trained exclusive specialist Spinal Surgeon treating all adult spinal conditions with the very latest ‘keyhole techniques’. He qualified from Guys and St Thomas’s Hospital in 1995 and completed research on Biomechanics and Skeletal Tissue Degeneration at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in 2003, gaining a distinction for his thesis. Mr Chatterjee undertook specialist Orthopaedic Training on the prestigious Middlesex Rotation and was awarded a Royal College Spinal Fellowship Training programme at Cambridge and Norfolk and Norwich Hospitals in 2010.

Mr Simon Mellor

Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon

Mr Mellor qualified in 1992 from Manchester University Medical School. He has worked in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery since 1996. In 2003-4, he undertook an Orthopaedic Fellowship in Melbourne Australia, specialising in hip and knee surgery. He is a member of the British Orthopaedic Association and the British Association for Surgery of the Knee (BASK). Mr Mellor has gained experience in computer navigation and patient-specific jigs for knee replacement surgery. He also has an interest in accelerated rehabilitation after joint replacement surgery.

Mr Harold Nwaboku

Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon

Mr Nwaboku is a specialist in treating patients with problems of the hip and the knee joint including arthritis and knee ligament and meniscus injuries. During his training in London he has been treating patients with hip and knee problems since 1991.

Mr Pinak Ray

Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon

Mr Pinak Ray’s career in medicine started in India in 1984. He finished MBBS and soon decided to pursue a career in Orthopaedic surgery. He successfully completed a Thesis on “Cartilage Healing” and was awarded the Masters degree in Orthopaedics. He decided to broaden his experience and came over to England in 1994.

Mr Dan Rossouw

Consultant Orthopaedic Upper Limb Surgeon

Mr Rossouw has an interest in shoulder surgery and management of shoulder conditions. His research includes rotator cuff repair, shoulder arthroscopy. He is a trainer, educational supervisor and examiner for FRCS(Orth) examinations.

Mr Joyti Saksena

Consultant Hip, Knee and Sports Surgeon

Mr Saksena has been a Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon since 2009. His role in medical education started in 2010, initially as a Training lead in orthopaedics before expanding to the wider role of all post-graduate medical education as Director of Medical Education at Barnet & Chase Farm hospitals and Royal Free Hospital.

Mr Rupen Dattani

Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon

Rupen graduated from University of Wales School of Medicine in 1999 and undertook his basic surgical training in Oxford and Reading. This was followed by two years of research at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore for which he was awarded a Doctorate of Medicine (MD) from University College London.

Mr Dimitrios Tsekes

Orthopaedic Consultant, Shoulder and Elbow Surgeon

Mr Dimitrios Tsekes graduated from the University of Athens Medical School in 2003. He completed his training as core surgical trainee and in 2007 he started his specialist training in Trauma and Orthopaedics at Athens Naval Hospital focusing on Orthopaedic Sports Injuries. In 2009 he obtained his MSc in “Metabolic Bone Disorders” from University of Athens Medical School.

Dr Imran Anwar

Consultant Musculoskeletal Radiologist

Dr Imran Anwar qualified from Imperial College School of Medicine in London. Prior to his radiology career, he trained in orthopaedic surgery for several years and also completed a Master’s degree in Surgical Science at UCL London. His radiology training was on the Royal Free London training scheme and he subsequently completed a Fellowship in Musculoskeletal Radiology at St Mary’s Hospital, London.
